Programme Overview
The Plumbing and Gas Technology programme equips students with the technical knowledge and practical skills required to install, maintain and repair plumbing, water supply, drainage, sanitation and gas systems.
The programme combines classroom instruction with extensive workshop practice in pipe installation, fabrication, gas fitting and system maintenance. Students learn to work to accepted standards and to handle gas and water systems safely.
Graduates are prepared for employment with plumbing and construction firms, or for self-employment providing plumbing and gas services.

Entry Requirements
Applicants must satisfy the following admission requirements:
Academic Qualifications
Six (6) credit passes (A-D or A1-D7).
Core Subjects
Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science or Social Studies.
Elective Subjects
Three (3) relevant elective subjects.
Mature Applicants
Applicants aged 25 years and above may be considered under the Mature Applicants category.
Proof of Age
Applicants must provide acceptable proof of age.
Work Experience
Applicants must possess at least two (2) years of relevant work experience.
Entrance Assessment
Applicants must successfully complete any required entrance assessment.

Certification
Upon successful completion, participants receive the National Proficiency I and II Certificate in Plumbing and Gas Technology, accredited by the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET) under the Ghana TVET Service (GTVET).
